Event Details
Last fall, many people in the community heard about the difficult situation that Liberian Wells College students, Emmanuel Chea and Patience Koenig, found themselves in after the funding that sent them from Liberia to Wells College ran dry due to COVID. They were in their final semesters at Wells and owed a combined $80,000 to finish their education. With an incredible spirit of generosity, the community, including people in Ithaca, raised enough money to pay their tuition.
Patience and Emmanuel will talk about the situation in Liberia, their experiences in the US and what they plan to do with their education.
All events and presentations will be on our youtube page
